A DEAFBLIND artist based in Northwich has taken his inspiring work to an exhibition in Bradford.

Minerva Hussain, who hails from Bradford and was born deafblind, lives at the Deafness Support Network's Stepping Stones supported living.

His ‘Ways of Communicating’ show at Kala Sangam Arts Centre displayed his fascinating work, created using a camera and specialist computer software to enhance the images and enable him to reproduce them and work across a number of mediums.

In a speech interpreted by hands-on signing, arts centre creative director Alex Croft said: “It’s been incredible learning about life for Minerva and the incredible ways in which he produces the paintings.

"It really shows that message that whatever life throws at you, art can be a good way to express yourself in whatever format.”
