Firefighters tackled a car fire on The Close in Northwich yesterday afternoon
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car fire in Northwich.
Crews were called to The Close shortly before 4pm yesterday and discovered a vehicle well alight on the road.
Firefighters, including one wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire with two hose reel jets.
The crew was at the scene for around 40 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an engine fault.
