DISABLED footballers want to thank shoppers for their generosity.

Winsford Disabled Football Group did a bag pack at Morrisons and raised £505.

The charity is run by volunteers for disabled children of any age and any disability to be involved in a football team

Fundraiser and secretary Rebecca Goodier, whose son plays in the team, said: "We are hoping to fund the charity by running events like the bag pack so the children don’t have to pay to attend, as no child should be left out.

"All the children love turning up every Sunday to not only take part in the football but to be part of a team."

Players from different age groups from Winsford Over 3FC spent four hours collecting donations from shoppers at Morrisons in Winsford on December 22.

The team will be holding another charity bag pack at Asda in Winsford on February 16.

During the winter, the group meets at Winsford Academy from 10.30am to 11.30am every Sunday. All disabled children are welcome.
