UNIQUE opportunities to help schoolgirls discover their passions and talents are being offered by the UK's largest girl-only youth organisation.

Excitement, fun and friendship are already being enjoyed by rainbows, brownies and guides at six different units across Winsford.

Girls can join an join an international adventure, gain leadership qualifications, have a go at car maintenance and try all sorts of new games and sports.

Leaders are keen to encourage more young people

Shereen Griffiths, division commissioner for Winsford, said: "We offer a safe, welcoming girl-only space for girls and young women to try new things.

"We're dedicated to girls leading the way. They choose activities, challenges and events that inspire them.

"Because girls shape and lead everything we do, we know that we're offering the best opportunities and experiences."

As numbers increase, more adult volunteers will be needed.

"Our volunteers do amazing things," said Shereen. "You could find yourself white water rafting, training guiding leaders overseas or singing along with 10,000 girls at Wembley Arena.

"Volunteering isn't just about camp fires and helping girls to get their next badge.

"It's about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It's being a role model and helping girls to realise their full potential. It's sharing and developing your skills."
