POLICE have launched an investigation after a fox was killed during an organised hunt in Darnhall today.
Cheshire Police have released a statement confirming that they are investigating claims that a fox was killed during a trail hunt, after pictures began to crculate on social media today.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "We’re aware of discussions taking place online following the discovery of a dead fox on land in Darnhall while a hunt has been taking place today.
"We would like to assure everyone that we are investigating the matter and making enquiries to establish the full circumstances around this incident."
This comes just three days after a fox was killed in Huxley near Tarporley - an incident which police have confirmed they are also investigating.
