DANCING helps to keep you fit, make friends and have fun.
Fred Boast, who runs Frejoy Dancing with his wife Joyce, is keen to encourage people to take up sequence dancing.
The great granddad said: “Experts say that dancing is the best thing they can do for their health. Sequence dancing is gentle exercise and keeps you happy.”
More than 60 dancers attended their annual charity dance at Wincham Community Centre and raised £322 to Prostate Cancer UK and the Haemophilia Society.
Tony and Jean Duncalf, who run dance classes at Wincham Community Centre on Thursday from 7.30pm to 10pm, helped to run the evening.
Fred’s sequence dancing class is held at Lostock Church hall on Wednesday from 7.30pm to 10pm.
He also runs an old time tea dance on the third Sunday of every month from 2pm to 5pm.
