FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a Northwich house fire on Christmas Day.
Two fire crews, from Northwich and Winsford stations, attended the incident in Percy Street, following a call at 5.24pm.
They spent an hour at the scene, with a shower unit having caused the fire.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Shortly before 5.30pm on Christmas Day firefighters from Northwich and Winsford were dispatched to reports of a house fire on Percy Street, Northwich.
"On arrival the team discovered a fire involving a shower unit in a downstairs bathroom.
"Two firefighters, wearing apparatus, used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The team also isolated the gas, electric and water at the property.
"Firefighters were detained at the address for approximately one hour."
