THE Primary Schools Performance Tables have been published today and all-but-one of Winsford’s schools have failed to match the national average.

Based on SATs results, the table shows the percentage of children at each school who met the 'expected standard'.

Oak View Academy had the best score in the area with 67 per cent of its pupils achieving their expected standard.

Delamere Academy came at the top of the table for schools in the Cheshire West and Chester Council boundary with 96 per cent.

The average score for schools in the local authority is 64 per cent, up from 59 per cent last year.

Cheshire West’s average is the same the national average, which has increased from 61 per cent last year.

9. Whitegate CofE Primary School – 38%

10. Willow Wood Community Primary School – 36%

11. St. Chad's Church of England Primary and Nursery School – 30%
