A TEENAGER from Winsford has been arrested after an alleged attack in Wharton left a 16-year-old boy with a broken jaw.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, December 5, in Nat Lane near to McDonald's fast food restaurant.
A 16-year-old from Winsford suffered a broken jaw in two places and is currently receiving medical treatment.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "The incident happened near to McDonald's on December, but it wasn't reported to us until the following day.
"The victim, a 16-year-old boy from Winsford, sustained a broken jaw in two places and is currently having treatment for that.
"We have now arrested a 16-year-old boy from Winsford this morning on suspicion of section 18 assault and he has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
