A bright and colourful red bus loaded with presents toured across London as a Sutton charity launched its campaign to help the homeless this Christmas.

Using an old Routemaster, Sutton Night Watch teamed up with both Celeb FC and BritishRedBus.com and went deep into the capital with shoebox gifts on December 7.

They were filled with items such as toiletries, underwear, chocolates, treats and Christmas goodies for the less fortunate.

With their “Christmas party on wheels” playing festive tunes, including "Sing Happy Christmas" with Mr Celtic Reggae, they launched their annual campaign for the third year running.

Their Facebook Live broadcasts showed seats on the double-decker bus full with shoebox gifts and decorated with colourful festive lights.

Andy Fulker, of Sutton Night Watch, said: “From an idea I initially had three years ago, the Sutton Night Watch shoebox run into London has grown into an amazing event.

“This year's trip saw a collaboration between us, local community support group Celeb FC and BritishRedBus.com, without whom this just wouldn't be possible.

“This year worked amazingly well and we went all over London, with volunteers hopping on and off the bus, giving out Christmas shoeboxes to the homeless.

“I can't thank the people, schools, community groups and businesses in Sutton enough for donating the gifts.”

Karin Flower, founder of Celeb FC, said the organisation was created to support small UK charities and help those in need.

She added: “What Andy and his amazing team do in Sutton each week is inspirational and, when we realised there was a way our media presences and teammates could help, we jumped at the chance.”

The Celeb FC founder was joined by her daughter, sponsors Taylored Events, Rocoja Ltd, and Celebrity Gost Hunt's Ashley Buckenham.

The multiple Facebook Live broadcasts of the night received more than 20,000 views in total as they toured around London.
