A JOSHUA Tree sponsor has rounded off its fundraising year by donning fancy dress for a festive fun run.

Steve Loake, his son Joseph, Harry Nesbit, Sofia Chinea, Tom Mayer and Penny Woodward at Direct Food Ingredients took part in the Family Fun Elf Run in aid of children’s charity in Roker Park on December 1.

The team completed the 2K course having already taken on Tough Mudder and the Northwich Dragon Boat Race alongside bake sales and swimathons, raising £3,900.

Managing director Steve said: “We understand how important The Joshua Tree’s services are in our community and have been so proud to raise awareness of the cause throughout the year."

“I would like to say thank you to all of the Direct Food Ingredients team who have taken part or donated, I know the funds raised will go towards supporting this much-loved charity so they can continue their wonderful work.”

The Joshua Tree helps children and families across the region living with the life-changing effects of childhood cancers.
