A YOUNG martial arts champion has finished the year in style by adding another title to his belt.

Joe Ryan, 14, from West Kirby, became the ISKA British Champion after fighting current ISKA World champ Josh Ridgewell.

On Saturday, December 1 Muay Thai boxer Joe travelled to London to fight Josh, from Benfleet Gym, and won by points unanimously plus giving away a two year advantage.

A student at St Anselm's, Joe was recently named Warrior Collective Best Young Martial Artist of the Year 2018 after reaching the finals and winning the title from a public vote.

Training and fighting out of 2 Brothers Gym in Birkenhead, Joe has won 49 out of 58 fights and is unbeaten in the UK for more than four years.

Currently Yokkao World Champion, Joe has fought across the globe in countries such as Turkey, Ukraine, Thailand, Italy, Belarus and Cyprus.
