CROWN Street coffee shop Abda’s is celebrating its first Christmas in town with a pop-up artisan gift shop.

The upstairs gallery and creative space has been transformed into a gift shop, with producers from the area offering a wide variety of Christmas gifts for sale.

Items include original artwork, handmade soaps, jewellery, and handmade Christmas decorations.

Abda’s new range of hand-selected tea and coffee hampers will also be available.

Sellers include Leon Boutique, Bright Bird Interior Accessories and Evie Craft Company amongst others.

Each seller has been chosen by manager Zoe Corker, who has combined her love of handmade items with years of retail experience.

Zoe said: “Christmas should be about giving personal and thoughtful gifts and that’s very much the ethos behind the shop.

“We’ll have such a wide variety of gifts that there really will be something for everyone and we’re excited to be supporting lots of smaller local traders and artisans by showcasing their products.

“It’s been a busy few weeks for us as we’ve given the upstairs gallery a custom-fit out so that it’s ready to accommodate all our gifts and artwork, not to mention a wonderful Christmas tree and our customers.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our first shoppers when the gift shop opens on 3rd December.”

The gift shop launched on Monday, December 3, and will be open from 9am until 5pm each day this month. Gift-wrapping and personal shopper services are also available.
