A 20-year-old man from Ellesmere Port has died after a rescue on Helsby Hill.
Emergency services were called at around 2.45pm on Saturday, December 1 following reports that a man was trapped on the side of a cliff face on Helsby Hill, Frodsham.
Paramedics took the man to Fazakerley Hospital where he later passed away.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, the man has since passed away.
“As part of the preparation for the coroner’s file we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information which could help us piece together what happened.”
