BOOTHS has issued a recall of its mince pies and is urging customers not to eat them because they may contain pieces of plastic.
Shoppers who bought the pack of four mince pies, with a best before date of January 2019 and batch code ‘P/463246’, are being urged not to eat them over fears bits of white plastic could be inside the festive treats.
A spokesman for Booths said: “If you have purchased this product, please return it to any Booths store for a full refund. No other Booths products are affected.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Food Standards Agency confirmed the recall and reiterated that the food product poses a potential risk to the safety of consumers.
