A DOG-WALKING couple may hold the key to finding a woman who assaulted a man in Rudheath, police say.

The 29-year-old man was left with head injuries after he was attacked in Shipbrook Road, at the Brook Lane junction, around 5.30pm on Sunday, November 11.

The woman walked away in an unknown direction, and the man received treatment for his minor injuries.

Police officers are now appealing for witnesses.

PC Andrew Mullin, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said: “While we follow a number of lines of enquiry I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen the incident take place to come forward.

“I believe a couple were walking a black dog around the time the assault took place.

"If this is you, I would urge you to get in touch by calling 101 as you may be able to help with our investigation.”
