TALENTED young figure skater Amy Morris will be seeking to add to her growing trophy cabinet at this year’s British championships.

Amy, 14, from Knutsford, is ranked second in Great Britain in the junior ladies category, which is for the 19 and under age group.

She will be competing in the British Figure Skating Championships, which take place at Ice Sheffield at the end of this month.

Amy’s mum Debbie said: “In 2015 she won at Basic Novice and in 2017 was silver medallist at Advance Novice.

“This year she qualified for Juniors and at 14 will be one of the youngest competing in this category.

“It is her first season competing at Juniors and in that time has won five out of seven national/international competitions and in doing so is currently ranked second in the country.

“She is hoping to qualify for junior grand prixs and junior worlds, and has ambitions of competing at the Winter Olympics in the future for Great Britain.”

It costs up to £20,000 a year to fund Amy’s figure skating, and if anyone would like to support her they can email tessdeb@aol.com
