A COMBERBACH businessman and author raised £2,000 with a Mount Kilimanjaro climb.

Dom Watson, director at Altrincham-based Myers La Roche and founder of the Rockstar Retirement Programme, managed to tick an item off his bucket list while raising money for Vision Aid Overseas and Water Aid.

The self-funded Tanzania trip involved a near-6,000 metre climb to the summit of Africa’s tallest mountain.

Dom, who is close to finishing his second book, The Rockstar Retirement Bucket List, said: “I want to experience another really huge bucket list adventure and really practice what I preach, showing people that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

“I wanted to inspire my children, I wanted to come back with tales of adventure, travel and the human spirit and I’m hoping that this will give them their own thirst for challenge, exploration, travel and adventure.”
