A GROUP of Everton supporters has organised a fundraising event for the club's new mental health campaign at Marine Street Social in New Brighton later this month.

Organised by Wallasey Supporters' Club it takes place on Friday, November 30.

All proceeds raised will go to Everton in the Community's appeal 'The People's Place', which is raising funds to develop, build and maintain a new purpose-built mental health facility in the shadows of Goodison Park.

The new facility will become a delivery site for EitC's existing mental health programmes as well as enable signposting to other services and support.

Hosted by Everton Football Club's Darren Griffiths, the event will include special guest Everton director of football Marcel Brands, as well as club ambassadors Ian Snodin and Graham Stuart with other VIP names to be announced in due course.

Tickets, £25, include two food courses as well as live music and a raffle, giving those in attendance the opportunity to win some exclusive Everton memorabilia.

Robbie Quinn, Everton Supporter’s Club Wallasey Association, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Marcel Brands and Everton legends Ian Snodin, Graham Stuart and other exciting guests to speak to the fans.

"The 2018/19 season has started well and the recruitment policy has given all the supporters a lift.

"We look forward to welcoming Marcel to Wallasey to chat about all things Everton.

"This EitC project is close to all our hearts and we thank Marcel for giving us his time for the charity.”
