A STRETTON hospital has joined an appeal to give children an extra present this Christmas.

Spire Cheshire have teamed up with The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust , based near Lymm, to act as a drop off point for the boxes.

The charity launched their selection box appeal on earlier this month and this year will be inviting more than 1,200 children to their base for a Christmas Party.

Each year the charity provides parties for ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the north west. Children enjoy a day of festive fun including party games, disco, meeting the animals in the barn and of course a visit to Santa in their beautiful Grotto.

Donations points are across Warrington, including the Warrington Guardian offices on Centre Park.

Andrew Johnson, hospital director, said: “We’re delighted to be able to help CAFT as a collection point for this year’s selection box appeal.

“With our South Warrington location and a good local road network we want to make it easy for people to donate.”

Hopefully we can help to make it the biggest year ever!”
