A PUB in Winnington Lane has reopened under a new name, following a six-figure refurbishment project.

The Lodge – previously known as the Sir John Brunner – opened its doors in October having undergone a design overhaul.

A Greene King pub, it was known as Winnington Lodge prior to its spell as the Sir John Brunner, and the most recent revamp has seen eight new jobs created.

The reopening was celebrated with a visit from Hartford FC under 10s, who sampled dishes from the kids' menu.

Cassandra Holmes, general manager at The Lodge said: “The Lodge has always been popular with Northwich locals, so we are really excited to be able to provide an even better place for guests to enjoy great food, as well as watching all of the best sporting events.

“The opening was a real success, with everyone commenting on the fantastic revamped interior and improved offering.

"It was also great to welcome the Hartford FC under 10s and they enjoyed sampling our latest kids menu.

"We look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months.”
