GROZONE Community Garden continues to be overwhelmed with support from the community following a recent vandal attack.

Hooligans broke into the the garden at Old Dane Nurseries, torched a yurt and smashed a urinal and sink in the accessible toilets.

The colourful Grozone lion was also extensively damaged as a trail of destruction was left behind over the weekend of October 13 and 14.

Wellwishers rallied round and raised almost £1,500 in six days.

Generous donations continue to be made as individuals, community groups, companies, schools and organisations offer practical help and support.

Northwich Ladies Circle raised more than £357 after taking part in the 5k Glow in the Park fun event at Heaton Park on Saturday.

Lostock Military Fitness donated funds from an outdoor fun-filled Halloween fancy dress event yesterday at Lostock Community Centre.
