TATTON MP Esther McVey is urging shops in her constituency to ‘tell their story’.

The search is now on to find the country’s best small shop, and businesses across the area can put themselves forward for a chance of being crowned 2018 winners.

Ms McVey said: “We have great shops across the constituency and I’d urge them to get involved and tell their story.

“Local shops play such a vital role in the community and it is right their work and dedication are recognised.”

The competition is open to any small shop in the UK selling goods or services.

Entries for the Best Small Shops competition will be judged by a panel of established representatives from the independent retail industry.

They will be looking for entrepreneurial spirit, ways they have been innovative in their business and what they have done to have a lasting positive impact on their community.

A shortlist of 25 will be invited to Parliament on November 13 to meet their MP where the winner will be announced.

Nominations close on Sunday, September 9. To enter visit bestsmallshops.co.uk
