A NEW lunch club aimed at tackling loneliness in older people with learning difficulties has held its first meeting.
Happy Mondays, an initiative from Snow Angels funded by Brightlife, launched on Monday, July 16, at the Greenbank Community Hub.
For £5 per visitor, the club hosts elderly people with learning difficulties from 11am to 2pm, treating them to lunch and activities.
These include film showings at Weaver Vale Museum, a photorgaphy projects using iPads, walks, and arts and crafts.
New activities will be added as the weeks go on, based on what participants are interested in.
