NORTHWICH Art Trail returns for its seventh year next month, making up part of the new Festival of Arts.
The only festival event to last the whole of July, the trail is once again being run by Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC) with support from DAN Community and Northwich Art Shop.
An art exhibition hosted by participating retailers in the town centre, the trail has attracted 62 artists who will be displaying in 45 shops.
This year will also see exhibits in the Northwich Information Centre and Memorial Court, with The Plaza also taking part by allowing VAC to utilise their outside poster cabinets.
The aim for the organisers is to bring visitors to Northwich and to support the town’s artists.
This year VAC will be using the former Adams children’s clothing shop Weaver Square as a base and ‘pop-up’ gallery, open from Wednesday to Saturday throughout July, 10.30am to 4pm each day
All of the 160 exhibits are for sale, and there are prizes for the ‘Best Picture’ and two runners up. Phil Bower from Northwich Art Shop is sponsoring the prizes.
