TIME is running out to secure your tickets to the Vale Royal Musical Theatre group's latest production.

The group is busy rehearsing for the upcoming production of 9 to 5, to be performed at Northwich Memorial Court from Wednesday, June 13.

The Winsford-based group, which last year celebrated 50 years of entertaining audiences, enjoys a membership of actors aged five to over 80.

Following the success of Calamity Jane and Sleeping Beauty last year – the latter of which received a best pantomime nomination from the north west branch of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association – the latest show promises an enjoyable, laugh-out-loud celebration of strong women.

Based on the 1980 film of the same name, 9 to 5 features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton.

Set in the office of Consolidated Industries, the story revolves around the working lives of three women, Violet, Judy and Doralee.

They all work for the sexist, lecherous, and pompous boss Franklin Hart.

The show celebrates women and their strength in the face of adversity, with leading ladies Sammi Hatton, Caroline Mellor and Nita Lawtonall thoroughly enjoying their roles.

Tickets for the show, which runs from June 13 to 16, are £15 full price and £12 for concessions.
