The newsagents caught fire yesterday evening
FIREFIGHTERS from Sandbach were called to reports of a possible fire at newsagents in Penda Way.
Crews attended the scene at around 8.50pm on Wednesday, May 23, and found that a full evacuation of the store had taken place.
The team used a thermal imaging camera to examine the scene and found that a food chiller had over heated.
Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes as they isolated the cause of the fire and removed it from the premises.
