FAMILY members have paid tribute to a man who died in a two-vehicle crash in Bostock Green.
Steve Thomas was riding a motorbike that collided with an Audi car in London Road at around 12.15pm on Sunday April 8.
The 63-year-old motorbike rider, from Northwich, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital where he sadly died.
In a statement, his family said: “Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who was known fondly for his compassion, humour and skiing.
“He was also known to many as a lifetime biker, a bookworm and a mechanic.
“We would like to pay tribute to the emergency services and air ambulance who were immediately at the scene and did everything they could to try to save Steve’s life.
“We would also like to thank all the witnesses at the scene and openly invite them to the funeral if they feel they would like to pay their respects.
“Details about the upcoming funeral are not yet finalised but will be made public by the family in due course.”
Anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any other information that may help Cheshire Police with their enquiries, should call 101 and quote the incident number 30957.
