FAMILIES enjoyed a wide selection of outdoor activities during the Easter holidays in Rudheath.
The activities at Grozone Community Garden, ranging from pond-dipping and enjoying smores made over a camp fire to making bug hotels and messing around in the mud kitchen, were organised by the Rudheath and Witton Together group.
Regular volunteers at the centre helped to run the ‘Family Day’ events, serving free hot drinks to guests. Visitors were asked to show their appreciation with donations to the garden, located near Vickers Way Park.
From these donations, the group raised more than £60.
Jo Thilwind, a local artist, showed visitors how to make masks out of natural materials and leaf-pressing was available in the picnic area.
Grozone Community Garden, in Old Danes Nursery, is open to the public from 10am until 3pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
