DEMAND for property in Northwich is increasing, making the town one of the most sought-after places in Cheshire to live, according to a local estate agency.

Ewemove has responded by expanding its team and opening up a new office on Gadbrook Park, offering buyers face-to-face contact with property experts as the market hots up over the spring and summer months.

Paul Gilligan, brand development manager, said: “Events such as the upcoming Easter activities and growing number of independent shops and bars have helped put Northwich on the map as a desirable place to live offering an easy commute to Manchester and Chester where property costs considerably more.”

Regeneration, excellent motorway links and a strong sense of community pride has seen the town increase its appeal to buyers.

Ewemove has seen average house prices in the CW8 and CW9 central Northwich area rise to an average £220,000 from £201,000, based upon data from Hometrack.

The Northwich office also looks after Winsford, with sister operations in Sandbach, Middlewich, Crewe and Nantwich.

Luke Patten, Northwich branch manager, said: “With good schools, open countryside, and the Barons Quay development offering a state-of-the-art Odeon Cinema, it’s easy to see why Northwich has become so popular.”
