A POLICE dog has been hard at work in Northwich this week, helping officers to detain a suspect on Monday afternoon.
PD Reggie joined Cheshire Police officers to trace a man who had escaped their clutches on his bike.
A police spokesman said: "PD Reggie was out ‘on the job’ with his handler earlier today down by the Arches near Vickersway.
"Reggie was out assisting our LPU with a little search after a male, who had tried to make off from us on a pedal bike was arrested close by.
"Thanks Reggie!"
