THE Delamere Go Ape team have hailed the family feel among staff after the company was named in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for 2018 list.

The adventure company was founded in 2001 and operates out of more than 30 locations across the UK, including Delamere Forest.

Gareth Battisson-Howard, deputy manager of the Cheshire centre, said: “We love what we do, encouraging customers through a naturally thrilling adventure, but it’s important to us that we feel and know that we work for a company that cares about more than just profits.

“This year we donated over £2000 to our local charity the Joshua Tree.

“Go Ape feels like a big family and we all try to make a positive difference.”

The Delamere Forest course offers a tree-top trek with long zip wires and superb scenery.

Operating from their Suffolk base, Banana HQ, the company has created more than 1,000 jobs across the UK and abroad.

A Sunday Times spokesman said: “People with jobs at the 100 mid-size (250-3,000 employees) firms featured in our lists enjoy the most supportive and fulfilling working lives that British business has to offer.”

The list was published on Sunday, February 25.
