A556 delays after car hits lamppost near The Smoker Inn
DRIVERS have faced delays this morning on the A556 after a car hit a lamppost near The Smoker Inn, in Plumley.
Police were called out to reports of a black Vauxhall Corsa hitting the post at 7.22am on January 12.
Paramedics checked the driver following the crash, before sending him home.
The crash has caused queuing traffic on the eastbound carriageway to Lostock Gralam.
