YOUNGSTERS from a Crewe nursery brought some early Christmas cheer to care home residents by singing and telling stories.
Eight children from Beechwood Nursery, in Meredith Street, visited Cypress Court, in Broad Street, where they shared laughter with those living at the home.
Stephanie Metcalf, nursery manager, said: “The children had a really lovely morning. It was nice seeing everyone singing along and smiling.
“The children just related naturally to the older people and were more than happy to help them to get involved with playing the instruments.
“Although it was a lot of fun for everyone it was also helpful to broaden the children’s horizons and help them to develop their social skills and confidence.”
