HARTFORD was packed on Friday night as the village kicked off the Christmas season with its annual lights switch-on.

More than 500 people from all over Northwich came together for music, mulled wine and mince pies.

The event was organised by Hartford Parish Council.

Phil Herbert, chairman of the council, said: “Many thanks to everyone who made this year’s Hartford Village Christmas lights switch on a huge success.

“The music from Hartford CE High School, the Hartford Ukulele Group, and the band of 146 (Northwich) Air Cadets, set the season off in fine style.

“To see over 500 people come together in the heart of the village was incredible and on behalf of all of us at Hartford Parish Council, we’d like to wish you a very happy Christmas.”
