A FAMILY business is hoping to transform a Whitegate residential park into one of the most desirable in the UK.

Construction of the eight new homes at Meadow Home Park in Mill Lane is expected to be completed by spring 2018.

Development being completed by Peter Harding and Co construction based in Middlewich.

Meadow Home Park is part of Olympic Park Homes, a family-run business owned and operated by the Thornley family.

The family aims to transform Meadow Home Park – which they purchased in 2015 – into one of the most sought-after residential park home locations in the UK.

In order to achieve this the firm has invested around half a million pounds into the development.

Darren Jones, Olympic Park Homes director, said the elevated views of the River Weaver was a major reason the family bought the site, and expect it to be a major selling point.

“We always knew that what we picked was a fantastic location,” Mr Jones said.

“Once we were able to open up the development we thought we would make it a high end development so people would find it a sought-after place.

“We already knew this was a place in Cheshire with unrivalled views. The fact that we can develop the ledge was the main draw for us.”

Mr Jones said the ‘luxury park homes’ feature two bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and walk in wardrobes.

Prices for the plots start from £235,000.

Olympic Park Homes say the plots are ideal for people looking to downsize from their current property and release some capital for their retirement.

Mr Jones said it is the largest project Olympic Park Homes has taken on to date.

There are currently 21 plots on park, excluding the new builds.

Mr Jones said the current residents have been supportive of the project.

He said: “As a way to say thank you we have hired out Meadow Bank Social Club We’re going to hold a Christmas party there.

“They have been very supportive, and we always like to look after our residents.”
