FIREFIGHTERS were on the scene of a house fire for almost six hours overnight.
Three engines - two from Crewe and one from Nantwich - were called to the incident in London Road, Doddington at 10.55pm yesterday, Tuesday.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze in the living room of the property.
Once extinguished, a large fan was used to clear smoke and a thermal imaging camera to check the property.
Crews left the scene at 4.40am.
