Firefighters called out as firebugs strike again at Wharton Recreational Ground
FIREBUGS struck once again in Winsford yesterday evening at Wharton Recreational Ground.
Firefighters from Winsford Fire Station were called to the park off Ledward Street at 6pm. They found a fire involving a tree.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Fire crews were called to a large tree which was on fire on Ledward Street, Winsford. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.”
Anyone who knows anything about the incident should call Cheshire Police on 101.
