MID Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust held a Health and Wellbeing Fair in Winsford last week, aiming to improve the lives of people living in Cheshire.

Families and individuals were invited to tour interactive stands and find out more about their local hospitals, as well as the health and wellbeing support that is available in the area.

Those who attended included Brio Leisure, One You Cheshire East, Body Positive, Healthwatch Cheshire, Cheshire Living Well Dying Well, Parkinson’s UK, Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group, Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity, St John’s Ambulance and Slimming World.

A number of departments from Leighton Hospital also attended.

Following the fair, guests were invited to attend MCHFT’s Annual Members’ Meeting, which offered the opportunity to find out about the Trust’s progress, as well as upcoming challenges and opportunities it is likely to face in the coming year.

Tracy Bullock, chief executive of MCHFT, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who attended the event, as well as those who exhibited, for making it a success.

“The health and wellbeing fair was an opportunity for local health and wellbeing-related charities and organisations to come together to talk to people about the help and advice that is available in the local area.

“It’s pleasing to see that we have so many dedicated individuals and groups all working to help improve the lives of those who live in Cheshire, and we hope to repeat the event in the future.”
