A HIGH Street opticians is hoping to expand into the vacant store next door.
Specsavers has applied for planning permission to expand its premises into the former Co-operative Travel store.
The former travel agent closed in 2016 following a merger with Thomas Cook, which has its own premises in Witton Street.
A separate planning application for new signage has also been submitted.
Specsavers was unable to comment when approached by the Guardian.
