THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash in Little Leigh on Tuesday night.

Emergency services were called at 10.13pm following reports of an incident at the Junction of Ash House Lane and Runcorn Road.

One fire engine from Northwich, one from Lymm and one from Stockton Heath attended the scene.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters released three casualties from two vehicles involved in a road traffic collision at the junction of Ash House Lane and Runcorn Road.

“After being assessed by firefighters and paramedics, two casualties, both female, in one car were able to be escorted from their vehicle.

“The third casualty, the driver of the second car and also female, was released from the car after firefighters removed the roof using specialist cutting equipment.”

Police officers also attended the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 10.22pm following reports of a collision involving a Seat Ibiza and an Audi coupe in Runcorn Road near Little Leigh.

“Firefighters and members of the ambulance service attended the scene. Three people were taken to hospital.

“At least one of the casualties received serious but not life-threatening injuries.”
