NORTHWICH Library has a packed schedule in August for the Summer Reading Challenge.

The annual event encourages children aged four to 11 to read six books during the summer holiday.

There is a different theme each year, with this year’s animal detective-themed ‘Animal Agents’ which officially started on July 15.

The library will host drop-in sessions throughout the week, including craft and Lego Club, and will host a number of one-off events throughout August.

Ian Anstice, Locality Librarian for Northwich and Winsford, said: “Animal Agents is fantastic to both have a free way to keep your kids busy over the summer and to keep their reading up over the holidays.

“It’s free to join and there’s so much going on in your local library. It’s always worth a visit.”
