CUDDINGTON residents are being asked to give their views on the village’s Neighbourhood Plan.

The Neighbourhood Plan, which has been undertaken by Cuddington Parish Council, sets out a vision for the future of the parish and describes planning policies, which will be used to determine planning proposals for the Neighbourhood Area for the period up to 2030.

The Neighbourhood Area covers the whole parish of Cuddington, Delamere Park and Sandiway.

Once a draft Neighbourhood Plan is written it must be tested via consultation before it can be submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council for a the pre-submission consultation.

The pre-submission version of the draft Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared with the help of the Steering Group and the community and is now ready for its first stage of formal consultation.

Statutory bodies such as the Environment Agency, Natural England, Network Rail and Highways Agency must now be given a chance to comment on the draft Plan.

In addition, adjacent parish councils and voluntary bodies in our Parish together with people who live, work or carry on business in the Neighbourhood Area will be given the same opportunity.

After the end of the consultation period all comments will be reviewed by the Steering Group and where appropriate changes will be made to the Cuddington Neighbourhood Plan prior to its formal submission to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The deadline for comments is 5pm on Friday, July 21, and can be submitted online or in writing.
