WINSFORD CC 2nds got back to winning ways against Barrow at Knights Grange.

It was a low scoring match on a very damp outfield following a massive mopping-up effort on the morning of the match.

Captain Mike Lancaster won the toss and asked the visitors to bat.

They struggled throughout, with Dave Etchells (3-28) and Craig Webb (2-37) proving successful for Winsford with the ball.

The hosts toiled in their run chase in tricky conditions.

They still ran out comfortable winners with Lancaster cracking a fine 56, his second half century against Barrow this season.

Mark Skellon (19) and Andy Cooper (7) perished in pursuit of the total as youngsters Julius Schiazza and Andrew Washington saw Winsford home to earn 20 valuable points.
