THERE was a six-vehicle crash on Wednesday on the M6 southbound at junction 18.
Firefighters were called to the Holmes Chapel junction after the incident left one person trapped. Air Ambulance was also called but left after six people were treated by paramedics.
Traffic was delayed in both directions and diverted through the exit and entry slip roads.
A police spokesman said: “Three cars and three lorries were involved. Six people were assessed at the scene and aren’t believed to be injured. One was released from the vehicle by firefighters and has been taken to Leighton Hospital with minor injuries.”
The road was reopened at 4.30pm.
