PARENTS, grandparents and care home residents enjoyed the results of pupils’ green-fingered labour on Friday.
The guests at Barnton Community Primary School were served soup made from vegetables which have been grown by pupils in the school allotment.
The guests included residents from Essendene residential care home in Runcorn Road, Barnton, accompanied by the home’s owner, Peter Brocklehurst.
The allotment is looked after by Keith Moss, and year six pupils helped to make the soup and served it to the hungry diners.
The event was part of the harvest celebrations at the school.
