NORTHWICH Rotary Club is hoping for an update on prospective businesses coming to Barons Quay at its forthcoming special speaker meeting.

The hoped-for update is part of the programme for the meeting on Monday, September 12, to which the public are invited.

“A very interesting and busy meeting is planned,” said Clive Steggel from the club.

“Prior to the speakers our president Andy Myers will be presenting cheques to the recipients of the recent swimathon.

“The first speaker is Nick Colley, who will be giving a presentation containing historic information and photographs relating to Northwich, and for the second presentation we are hoping for an update on Barons Quay.

“These presentations will spark a lot of interest and questions for the presenters from our knowledgeable audience, so I hope people will be able to attend - please put this in your diaries now.”

The meeting takes place in the main hall at Winnington Park Recreation Club at Winnington, and doors open at 11.45am.

At 12.30pm MC Nick Marsh will introduce president Andy Myers to open the meeting and lead in to lunch.

At 1.15pm Mr Myers will present cheques from the recent swimathon, and Mr Colley will speak about historic Northwich from 1.30pm.

At 2pm there will be hopefully be an update on Barons Quay, followed by question time at 2.15pm.

There will be a charge to cover the cost of the two-course buffet luncheon with tea or coffee of £8.50 per person, payable on entry, and reservations are being accepted for the luncheon event.

The club has to provide the number of attendees to the caterers on the Friday before the event.
