THE Verdin Exchange was evacuated as firefighters were called to investigate a smell of burning.
Two fire engines from Winsford Fire Station were called to the business property in High Street, Winsford, at 4.45pm on Tuesday when employees reported a smell of burning coming from the basement.
The building was evacuated but no fire was found. Firefighters believed that the burning smell came from a light fitting.
