A PROMOTIONAL video has been released inviting viewers from around the world to 'Look at Cheshire' in a bid to attract more investment, new skills, and diverse businesses to the county.

The two minute film promoting Cheshire’s world leading technologies, unique heritage and global communications links, also features companies including Bentley, University of Chester and Cogent.

Clive Sykes, chairman of Marketing Cheshire – the agency responsible for promoting Cheshire and Warrington nationally and internationally to investors, business and leisure visitors – said: “I believe this film does Cheshire proud and really conveys the pleasure of living and working here.

"I’m sure it will spark enormous interest and, I hope, a tiny bit of envy.

“The film is designed to be relevant not just to businesses seeking to invest but also to prospective employees thinking about making their home in Cheshire.

"It combines some of the most familiar images of Cheshire with some of the lesser known but equally desirable aspects that underpin the exceptional quality of life to deliver a compelling and confident sales pitch for the county.”

The Your Housing in Warrington offices, the campus at the University of Chester, apprentices at Crewe Railway Academy and the high-tech environment of Cogent Breeding are just some of the places filmed for the video as well as Quarry Bank Mill.

The film will be used to market Cheshire starting with a social media campaign using #lookatcheshire.

Businesses will be invited to promote the film through their channels and later on in the year the film will be used at a number of promotional events in Cheshire and London and targeted at key investment decision makers.
