WORLD traveller Brent Nile has named his new barber shop after his grandfather.

Brent, from Castle, is to open Burdett’s Barber and Shop in Northwich High Street next Monday, January 18.

The business has been named after Alfred Burdett, from Castle, who is due to celebrate his 90th birthday in May.

“I named the business after my granddad because he is the last Burdett in the family, and I wanted to keep the name,” said Brent, 31.

“My granddad was really proud that I wanted to name the business after him, and his dad was a barber in the Royal Navy.

“I wanted to bring a classic barber shop into Northwich, and it will have a vintage feel, including chairs which were built in 1952.”

Brent has been working as a barber while travelling the world with his girlfriend, during which they visited countries in South Asia, Australasia and North America.

Burdett’s Barber and Shop is at 12 High Street, in premises formerly home to an estate agent, and operates an appointment only system. To book visit www.burdettsbarbers.com.
